The Firmness of Being: Spirit, Memory, & Decolonial Healing

The Firmness of Being: Spirit, Memory, & Decolonial Healing

What does it mean to walk with the firmness of being in a world that fragments us?
How do we think, feel and remember decolonially — not as theory, but as embodied truth?

Join us for an intimate community circle where we will explore the meaning of the firmness of being — a deep, embodied remembering of who we are through ancestral medicine, decolonial thought, and Indigenous presence.

Together, we will begin a journey of returning to our roots through questions like:

  • What does it mean to walk with decolonial clarity in a world shaped by disconnection?

  • How do we begin to reclaim Indigenous and ancestral memory in everyday life?

  • What are the ethical, spiritual, and emotional foundations of traditional medicine?

  • How can we hold ourselves and one another through transition, grief, and reawakening?

This circle is an introduction to Indigenous Mexican medicine, guided by the spirit of community, humility, and shared learning. It’s a space for anyone who is seeking to reconnect with the wisdom of the body, the land, and lineage — whether it is known or still being remembered.

We will speak, feel, and reflect together. No performance. No hierarchy. Just real presence.

👣 Guided by Lucia Echeri

Traditional medicine practitioner, environmental biochemical engineer, full-spectrum doula, and student of professional midwifery. Born and raised in rural Michoacán, Mexico, Lucie walks a life deeply rooted in Purépecha medicine, Indigenous spirituality, and land-based knowledge. She has shared her work across the U.S. and Mexico for over two decades, always honoring the dignity of her ancestors and the ongoing vitality of Indigenous practices — not as metaphor, but as lived reality.

🎟️Sliding Scale Pricing

To make this circle more accessible while honoring the labor, knowledge, and lineage behind it, this offering is available on a sliding scale:

$100 / $125 / $150 / $175 / $200
You choose what is most aligned and sustainable for you.

💫 Payment plans available.

Birthing Together Workshop

A workshop hosted by our friend Caitlin at Together Birth & Body

Located at Peacebank Yoga Studio in Redwood City. Registration is through Peacebank via the Recess platform. In this workshop, the focus is on the accompanying partner and how to emphasize their support and involvement in the birthing process. Together you will learn:

  • Labor comfort measures and supportive positions for any way you birth your child, whether that is unmedicated, with an epidural, or via cesarean section.

  • How to use a birth ball and peanut ball to naturally speed up the birthing process.

  • Massage techniques to stay connected throughout labor, relax and relieve tension, and encourage contractions.

  • Ways to support both partners in connecting to their new baby and each other during labor, birth and the fourth trimester.

Expect to be up and moving around with your partner for a hands-on, kinesthetic experience. Cost is $240 per partnership and registration is through Peacebank Yoga Studio.

This workshop was created for and celebrates all partnerships, birth plans, abilities, and income levels. Please reach out directly to Caitlin if you have any questions, need accommodations, or require financial assistance.
