This month has been filled with so many blessings and lessons. I definitely underestimate the time and energy that some of these platforms require, however I still enjoy sharing my work with you all.
I would like to take a pause in my mother's birth story for this share today as something extremely exciting has happened for me.
When I was in elementary school, one of my teachers had us do a poem project. We had to create a book of poems and follow the lay out that she had given us. I remember this project clearly because it introduced me to my love of writing. She explained the project to us, and we had many weeks to get it done, I used up every moment I had to write these poems and yes, I still have the book.
It was uphill from there, my poems turned into stories, and I dreamed of publishing a book and writing in magazines and well the endless ideas we get as children. As life pulled me in different directions I started to write only here and there and now the most I write is for my blogs or social media posts.
I now have found a topic I can write and talk about forever, and I really enjoy it.
I received a booking for a consultation with me back in October, she completely forgot about our appointment, and we rescheduled.
When we meet, I learn that she is a journalist, wanting to interview me for a piece she is writing for the Feb edition of Parents Latina Magazine!
